A Website Starter Design provides you with a high-quality site design, without the cost of design development and without delay.  Website Starter Designs are a quick, easy and affordable way to present your business professionally online.  The design can be customized as little or as much as you like according to your wishes and your budget.

The Website Starter Designs presented in the Store range from approximately $20 USD for a very simple design to $275 USD for an extremely high-end Dynamic Flash Site design.  Although new designs are constantly being added, the average cost of most designs is $60-$75 USD.  To inquire about a particular design price, please contact CIS with the Item Number.

The design price covers the source files to render the webpage(s) only as they are displayed in the design Details; customization and building of your new site based upon that design are additional, as detailed in our affordable Website Starter Design Customization Pricing.  The designs do not include any additional scripts. All forms, such as newsletter subscription or search fields, are inactive but the functionality can be added during customization for a fee (script activation generally requires a Unix host supporting PHP and MySql).

The Website Starter Designs can be customized as much or as little as you like!  There is no minimum and no limit.  Customization costs are outlined on our Website Pricing page.
 

Yes.  The Website Starter Designs in the Store are non-exclusive.  In the design Details, you'll see a Downloads number indicating how many times that design has been purchased in the past.
 
If you're contracting with CIS for customization services, bear in mind that your final site may be as different from the initial design as you want.  We can make any changes you like: Add your logo, switch out photos or other images, rearrange page elements to suit your unique content, change colors, and so on.  The same design rendered for two businesses may be as different as the businesses themselves.  Think of the designs as professional starting points that CIS will help you make your own.

If you're interested in a completely unique design, CIS presents two options to you:

1. Contact CIS with your site needs and ideas and we'll bid a completely Unique Website Project for you which does not use any of the Store designs as the basis.  Your site will be completely custom from start to finish and will be exclusive to you.  Costs are outlined in the our Unique Website Package pricing.
    

2. Select a design from the Design Library with zero (or another acceptably low number of) downloads and pay a Unique Price for the design.  By making a Unique Purchase, it guarantees that you are the last person to buy the design.  After the purchase occurs the design is permanently removed from the directory and is never available to other customers again. Only you will own it (and any people who may have bought the design previously if you are not buying a zero-download design).  Contact CIS with the Item Number for Unique Pricing and purchasing information.  Note that customization would be additional, as outlined in our Website Customization Package pricing.

Absolutely.  We understand that some people don't want the busy-ness of a Flash site, have accessibility concerns, or don't want to limit the size of their content areas as some Flash designs do.  The Store includes a great number of attractive Flash sites, and we can use any of those base designs to create a non-Flash site for you. Choosing to render a Flash design as non-Flash may also be a consideration if you have concerns about the initial setup and maintenance costs and complexity - all of which are increased for Flash sites.  Your non-Flash website will have the same overall look as the Flash version, just without the movement or animation.

If you wish to purchase only  the design source files, without any CIS customization services, you may.  You will receive the source files to render the page(s) only as they are displayed in the design Detail; customization and building of the site would then be your responsibility.  Note that the designs do not include any additional scripts.  All forms, such as newsletter subscription or search fields, are inactive.  Contact CIS with the Item Number for pricing and purchasing information.

Once you've chosen your Website Starter Design and have reviewed our customization pricing, complete the Website Customization Form.  CIS will reply shortly via email to schedule a discussion with you so we can accurately define your project and answer any questions you may have.  Based on that discussion, CIS will email a personalized bid to you outlining the project, timeline and costs.

When you accept the bid, CIS will issue an invoice for the 50% project down payment.  Upon down payment receipt, we'll begin your website project.  CIS will customize the site as agreed upon, sending you links where you may review and approve the progress.

To prepare for your site launch, you'll need a domain (e.g., www.yourdomain.com) and a hosting account.  CIS can work with any host or can offer recommendations at your request.  If you like, you may arrange to have CIS handle these setup tasks for a fee.

Final payment is due prior to the delivery of your files.  CIS will issue a final electronic invoice and upon final 50% payment receipt, we'll publish your files to your hosting server so you can start showing off your new website!
